This is a recording about the hard working people in this country and around the world who create all its wealth, but don’t get much of a share in it.

It’s about the poor, embattled emigrants who came to the new world and tried to create a sense of self-worth.

It’s about Joe Hill, Woody Guthrie and Phil Ochs who put their hearts on the line for us.

It’s about my parents, my grandparents and all those elders who surrounded the family table.

It’s about the memories of all those wonderful old Eastern European working class halls that smell of decades of cabbage and onions ingrained into the wood where people built community..

This recording is about accordions because the naysayers said it couldn’t be done.

It’s an album that pokes fun at accordions, squeezebox jokes, Bob Dylan, the afterlife, Henry Ford,
neo-liberals, fundamentalists and CEOs.

It’s a recording about the brave Wobblies, On to Ottawa Trekkers, Italian miners, Portuguese fishermen and striking Windsor autoworkers who took a stand.

It’s about the horrors of September 11 in New York, September 11 in Santiagp, Chile and the September 11ths that happen every day.

This is recording is me. It’s who I am and how I came to be who I am.

It’s a recording that REMEMBERS and one that hopes for a fundamentally better world.
